Details

The Triple Deuce, or .222 Remington cartridge was introduced in 1950 as the first of the commercial, American rimless .22 cartridges. Very popular in the US from its introduction to the mid 1970’s for its flat trajectory and impressive accuracy, it remains a trusted varmint cartridge even after the creation of larger and faster cartridges, delivering impressive performances at medium ranges without excessive wear on barrels. It also played no small part in the development of the .223 Remington. Sellier & Bellot’s 52 grain, hollow point Match bullet has an approximate muzzle velocity of 3200 plus feet per second with an excess of 1148 foot pounds of energy. This is ideal for silhouette target shooting and competitions that are either casual or official in nature.

Since 1825 S&B has provided quality ammunition components and complete cartridges to both Europe’s military and police as well as sportsmen. Their Match line is specifically intended for use on prized hunts or in competitive shooting matches where each shot must deliver critical performance in down range accuracy. The premium brass cases are fully reloadable and provide further fodder for or with those who custom load their own cartridges.
