Remington - Full Metal Jacket - 115 Grain 6.8 SPC Ammo - 20 Rounds
In 2003, Remington introduced the 6.8mm Special Purposes Carbine round as a proposed intermediary military rifle round. The effort was dedicated to creating a round that could still be fired from the government issued M15/M4 platform rifles. The 6.8 SPC can do this quite simply with an upper assembly swap out and bridges the terminal ballistics between the 5.56 NATO and 7.62x39mm Russian round. While effective, the US military opted against a full out adoption and replacement of the current service rounds. However, it has found niche roles in both special forces and hunting applications where a harder hitting AR platform.
This 6.8 SPC ammo is loaded with a 115 grain full metal jacket bullet by Remington. It fires with a manufacturer reported muzzle velocity of 2800 feet per second with 2002 foot pounds of energy. This is ideal for range training and target shooting activities.
Remington ammunition proudly continues maintaining the namesake’s association with quality and dependability that has been its hallmark since the company’s founding in 1816. As one of the developing contributors to the 6.8 SPC cartridge, Remington holds a sentimental association with the caliber that is manifest in the high quality, reloadable cases as well as the consistently performing bullets.
