9x21mm IMI Ammo

Developed by and named for Israeli Military Industries, 9x21mm IMI ammo is widely used in countries where the 9mm Parabellum is not available to civilians. It has a slightly longer case length than the 9x19, with the bullet being seated deeper in the case for comparable total length.

A typical 9x21mm IMI load fires a 115 or 123 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,100 to 1,200 feet per second, producing similar external ballistics to 9x19mm loads. Range ammo is typically available from European manufacturers like Fiocchi.

9x21 ammo is sometimes used for international competition shooting due to the reliability of its rimless design.
