Aguila - Lead Round Nose - 60 Grain 22 Long Rifle Ammo - 500 Rounds
Recreational and professional shooters neve really grow out of the .22 Long Rifle. The cartridge has been around since the 1880s and continues to be the choice for introduction, training, competitions, small game hunting, pest control and in very limited sense, personal protection – at least against aggressive small animals that may be carrying disease. Aguila’s 60 grain sub sonic is the heaviest weighted .22 LR bullet on the market capable of hitting hard with very little report: the lead round nosed bullet achieves a muzzle velocity of 950 feet per second but still hits with around 120 foot pounds of energy. It is good for close range pest control where both discretion and limited range are required. It is noted, however, that these cartridges should be used only in manual action firearms, there is not enough pressure generated to cycle the action of self-loaders.
Made in Mexico and distributed in cooperation with Remington, Aguila munitions have achieved world wide recognition for dependable performance that often evades other rimfire manufacturers. Trusted for use in hunting and professional competitions, the company achieves full circumference primer seating in each rim dramatically reducing the instances of hang or misfires. Aguila: the choice of those who know and need the shot each and every time.
